The Big Three: Navigating the 11+ Digital Revision Platforms

In the current admissions cycle, the independent school landscape is dominated by three primary digital engines: Atom Learning, Century Tech, and Planet BOFA. These platforms have replaced traditional paper-based reasoning tests for the vast majority of top-tier schools, utilizing adaptive algorithms to measure a child's true academic potential.

While these platforms offer a broad range of support, my consultancy focuses specifically on mastering the two most common and high-stakes assessment formats:

• The ISEB Common Pre-Test: The universal standard used by schools such as New Hall School.  Others, such as Eton and Harrow, use the ISEB as an initial stage assessment. It is a rigorous, adaptive test covering English, Maths, Verbal, and Non-Verbal Reasoning.

• The Quest Assessment: A newer, sophisticated assessment format (developed by Atom Learning) that is increasingly being adopted by prestigious day and boarding schools such as Chigwell School to test creative comprehension and problem-solving.

• Many schools combine aspects of these tests with their own internal assessment such as creative writing and an interview stage.
